A New Beginning!
It’s been a few years since I’ve had a personal blog, so I thought I’d give it another try again. I’m sure there will be a lot of things I would have to learn in customization, but for the most part I’m excited to be writing about things I’ve been doing. We’ll see how long I can keep this up ha!
I’ll be writing mostly about my food experiences & travel, mostly highlighting afternoon/high tea and dessert places. I already post photos on my private IG, but it can be hard to curate in that format at times. As with all my social media, I likely won’t post myself and try to focus on the food and my experiences.
I’m a solo traveler (for the most part) and I’m definitely one of those people who take photos before they eat (though sometimes I’m so hungry that I just dig in). I definitely have a sweet tooth, but I try to balance it out with some savory goodness. My favorite cuisines are French and Japanese (and always more than willing to try a fusion of the two!), but I eat almost everything that’s not spicy.
My current favorite places I’ve been to are Schwangau, Germany, and Kyoto, Japan. The alpine lake is just so breathtaking and there is a room in the Hohenschwangau Castle that I wouldn’t mind living in. I’m a sucker for matcha and Japanese food.
I think that about wraps it up for the boilerplate stuff.

A ramble: There isn’t any end to the question “what are you dressed up for” when it comes to being in a lolita group. After so many years of hearing that question, I usually answer with “it’s a fashion club meetup.” This response usually gets me the following: a nod, a reply along the line of “it’s nice,” and the person walking away. It’s great to not draw out any sort of conversation, and I can get back about my day. I’ve long given up on trying to explain what this fashion is, and I don’t feel like it’s my obligation to.
